Job summary

ParaMed Inc. is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant/ Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) to join our Grey Bruce team in Owen Sound and surrounding communities.

You will work mainly under Registered PTs and some OTs to provide health teaching and exercise programs and to administer care plans for therapists. You will collaborate with a physiotherapy and occupational therapy team, deliver in-person and virtual sessions, and support clients and families in their home and community

Qualifications

• Recent graduates from a recognized physiotherapy program or kinesiology is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and families/caregivers.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant/ Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) to join our team.

This OTA/PTA can bring their therapy services skills to our Grey Bruce team.

Our Therapy Assistant will be working mainly under Registered PTs and some OTs to provide health teaching, and exercise programs and would be able to administer care plans for Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

Individuals can expect to work within the Owen Sound area and other surrounding communities such as: Durham, Markdale, Flesherton, and Dundalk.

What you will be doing

• You will be working with our physiotherapy and occupational therapy team under the supervision of a Registered PTs and OTs.
• Provide health teaching and perform exercise programs with clients in-person and virtually.

Skills needed for success

• Recent graduates from a recognized physiotherapy program or kinesiology is an asset.
• A proven track record of being able to work independently, as well as comfortable working in a team.
• Building relationships with clients and their families/ caregivers.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and the use of a reliable vehicle.
