SJH St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton is seeking a Manager for Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Recreational Therapeutic Services to provide strategic, clinical, operational, and financial leadership across the organization.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy required.
• Masters Degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.
• 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience required.
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario or the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
• Master's degree in a health-related field preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare leadership, management principles, quality improvement, patient safety, and change management.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing interdisciplinary teams in a complex healthcare environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, facilitation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to patient- and family-centred care and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Recreational Therapeutic Services.
• Manage department resources and implement short- and long-term strategic priorities and quality initiatives.
• Initiates and leads change within the department, program, and organization.
• Collaboratively reviews and revises policies to ensure excellent clinical service delivery and operations.
• Supports staff problem solving by ensuring policies/procedures are followed.
• Champion quality improvement, patient safety, accreditation readiness, and risk management.
• Ensure excellence in patient care through ongoing quality monitoring and patient safety processes.
• Promote patient/family experience by integrating feedback into service delivery initiatives.
• Provide leadership for recruitment, workforce planning, staff development, performance management, and labour relations.
