Job Description

You will join the Liver Disease Business Unit, which plans to launch two new products in the next 12 months. As a Therapeutic Specialist, you will focus on establishing a territory with high prescribing Liver Disease treaters, primarily in viral hepatitis (HCV/HDV).

The Role:
  • Implement sales strategies, achieve coverage and frequency targets, and meet sales goals within your territory.
  • Represent Gilead’s products to healthcare professionals in Montreal South through Eastern Quebec.
  • Use your product and disease knowledge to promote appropriate use of Gilead therapies.
  • Develop a business plan, set targets, and communicate actions to reach objectives.
  • Contribute to regional training and skill development of team members.
  • Monitor sales progress, measure success, and provide performance feedback.
  • Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, events, and other expenditures.
  • Represent Gilead at professional events and promote products.
  • Collaborate with Medical Science Liaisons, Marketing, and other teams on projects.
  • Identify issues and opportunities, communicating proactively with management.
  • Complete administrative tasks promptly, such as updating databases and expenses.
  • Ensure effective communication within the commercial team.
  • Report complaints and adverse drug reactions to Pharmacovigilance.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales and relevant therapeutic knowledge.
  • BA or BS degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in specialty sales.
  • Bilingual in English and French is mandatory.
  • Preferably, 2+ years as a Therapeutic Specialist.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, and independent work ethic.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and practices.
  • Ability to identify issues and opportunities, and communicate effectively with management.
