Job summary

Placements24 is seeking dedicated individuals to join our network as Therapeutic Foster Care Parents, operating on a remote, home-based support model. You will provide a stable, nurturing, and therapeutic home environment for children who have experienced trauma or adversity, with support and training delivered remotely.

As a foster parent, you will work with a dedicated team to ensure the well-being and development of children placed in your care, from your own home, nationwide across Canada.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years of age with a stable home environment.
• Ability to pass a background check and home study assessment.
• Access to reliable internet and a suitable space for remote communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, loving, and therapeutic home environment for children in foster care.
• Implement strategies to support children's emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
• Collaborate closely with the agency's support team via remote communication channels.
• Attend virtual training sessions and support group meetings.
• Adhere to all agency policies and licensing requirements.
• Transport children to appointments, school, and therapeutic sessions as needed.
