We are currently seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and friendly individuals with a Diploma in ODP NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds 752, or a 1st Level Nurse with a current anaesthetic competency certificate to join our fast-paced Acute Theatre Suite.
Applicants must be registered with UK HCPC or UK NMC.
Hours will be scheduled to meet service needs, including shift work, weekends, and rotational nights.
Our vision is to develop a multi-skilled workforce with rotation through Anaesthetics, Recovery, and Scrub duties, depending on qualifications and experience.
We offer a variety of surgical specialties such as Maxillofacial, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Trauma, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Urology, and Paediatrics, covering both Elective and Emergency procedures.
Some specialties utilize Robotic Assisted Surgical Technology, a recent innovation within NHS Fife, with potential for future development.
We provide comprehensive anaesthetic assistant services across operating theatres and outlying areas, including Emergency Department resuscitation, ECT unit, Community Dental Unit, and Interventional Radiology.
The Fife Elective Orthopaedic Centre, a National Treatment Centre of Excellence opened in Spring 2023, features three theatres.
Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and have evidence of ongoing professional development.
Our department is supported by one full-time and two part-time Clinical Educators, along with a part-time Education Coordinator.
