Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated Operating Department Practitioner/ Anaesthetic Nurse to join the team in the National Treatment Centre Fife Orthopaedics, Victoria Hospital.

This is a purpose-built unit based within the grounds of Victoria Hospital, consisting of 3 theatres and a 7-bed recovery area, along with an orthopaedic ward and outpatient services. This setup offers exciting opportunities for staff development.

The successful candidate may be required to work across Victoria and Queen Margaret Hospitals, covering out-of-hours commitments as needed.

Main duties will focus on anaesthetics but require flexibility to work in other areas such as recovery or scrub duties.

Hours will be scheduled to meet the service needs, including working alternate Saturdays.

Qualifications required include a Diploma in Operating Department Practice (ODP) NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds 752, or being a first-level nurse with a relevant/current anaesthetic certificate.

Applicants must be members of the Health Professions Council or registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
