Job summary

New Flyer in Winnipeg is seeking a driver to support testing and demonstration of NFIL and other buses. You will operate vehicles across test plans and provide clear feedback to the engineering team.

You must be able to work nights and weekends and perform basic diagnostics, logging reports, and adhering to safety procedures while collaborating with the engineering team to improve product performance.

Qualifications

  • Must have Manitoba class 2 driver's license with airbrake endorsement.
  • Experience driving large vehicles or buses preferred.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and maintenance practices.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety procedures.

  • Clean and inspect (PDI) vehicles.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide driving services for testing and demonstration in Winnipeg.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Drive any NFIL or other bus as required for testing or demonstration
  • Provide feedback to engineering on drawings, designs and theories of operation
  • Assisting fabrication equipment on test equipment, some lifting and climbing as required
  • Availability on nights and weekends, no regular hours
  • Write reports and keep drivers log, use of PC, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
  • Perform tests from a requested plan

Requirements
  • Must have a valid Manitoba class 2 driver's license with airbrake endorsement
  • Previous experience driving large vehicles or buses is preferred
  • Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and maintenance practices
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, nights and weekend
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics
  • Effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with the engineering team
  • Attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety procedures
