Job Title: Test Automation Engineer with Data Validation and Comparison Experience

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer with Data Validation and Comparison experience to design, write scripts, and deploy effective test automation solutions across all tiers of our application. The ideal candidate will identify software problems, prepare testing reports, and design test strategies for functional, non-functional, and performance testing. This role involves working closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop test plans, and automate regression scripts. The candidate will also troubleshoot and debug existing automation code to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, write scripts, and deploy effective test automation solutions across all tiers of the application.
• Identify problems within the software and prepare testing reports for developers.
• Design test strategies for functional, non-functional, and performance testing for web, API, reporting, ETL, and data processing modules.
• Apply the latest techniques in data automation, covering data comparison and validation.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to understand business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Develop test plans and test cases, and liaise with the development team to automate regression scripts.
• Execute formal performance test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing automation code to improve its efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases like MSaaS, MongoDB, Hive.
• Experience with complex database queries involving joins, unions, analytical, and aggregate functions.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools like Selenium and Protractor.
• Good knowledge of the testing lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience using JIRA for test management and defect management using Zephyr Test.
