We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer with expertise in Java to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions for our Java-based applications. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, programming skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

1. Design and Development: Create and implement automated test scripts using Java and related frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG) to ensure comprehensive test coverage of application features.
2. Test Strategy: Develop and document the automation test strategy, identifying suitable test cases for automation based on project requirements.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand application features and ensure alignment on testing goals.
4. Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins or Git, ensuring that tests are executed consistently throughout the development cycle.
5. Debugging and Optimization: Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and optimize automated tests for performance and reliability.
6. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and testing processes to ensure clarity and consistency in testing efforts.
7. Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior team members in automation best practices and support their professional development.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation; experience in Java development is essential.
3. Proficient in Java programming and familiar with object-oriented design principles.
4. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Rest Assured, or similar frameworks.
5. Understanding of API testing and web services automation.
6. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. Excellent communication skills to articulate testing strategies and results effectively.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.
10. Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
11. Experience with ETL testing.
12. Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
13. Familiarity with database technologies (SQL) for backend testing.
