Job description

About Halter

At Halter, we’re on a mission to enable farmers and graziers to run the most productive and sustainable operations. Our technology frees cattle from conventional constraints, allowing them to move freely without quad bikes, dogs, or fences. By joining us you’ll tackle challenging problems and help transform an industry.

About the Role

As a Territory Manager for the South East region of Saskatchewan, you will drive new business growth and ensure customer success within your territory across Canada. You will act as Halter’s on‑ground representative, building strong relationships, meeting growth targets, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver value to ranchers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting new business by attending local cattle auctions, livestock association meetings, and building a pipeline through outbound lead generation.
  • Conducting in‑field sales visits, presenting Halter’s virtual fencing technology to ranchers on horseback, in side‑by‑side vehicles, or at their ranches.
  • Expanding opportunities with existing customers, identifying upsell and cross‑sell possibilities to increase value over time.
  • Hitting aggressive sales targets while managing pipeline and prioritizing qualified leads.
  • Managing customer accounts post‑sale, ensuring ongoing satisfaction, providing support, and addressing challenges.
  • Owning the territory by engaging stakeholders across local, state, and federal agencies, and representing Halter at industry events.
  • Overseeing end‑to‑end customer onboarding, coordinating with implementation teams to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Collecting field learnings and feedback from customers and communicating insights to product and support teams.
  • Collaborating with support teams to resolve issues promptly and maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Representing Halter at industry events such as CattleCon and local livestock association meetings to generate leads and strengthen relationships.
  • Contributing to the Canadian sales strategy by sharing insights and helping to refine the sales process for the market.
Required Qualifications
  • Results‑driven attitude with strong communication skills; proactive and adaptable in high‑stakes environments.
  • Hands‑on ranching or cattle operations experience, with deep understanding of the industry’s challenges.
  • Background in sales and customer success, with a proven track record of creating new business and building lasting relationships.
  • Experience managing a large territory, ideally within agriculture or technology sectors.
  • Strong problem‑solving and collaboration abilities, working effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Bonus Qualities
  • Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies.
  • Background in customer‑facing roles within agriculture technology.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment.
Benefits
  • Annual USD$750 self‑development budget.
  • Best‑in‑class health benefits for employees and families.
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers.
  • Unlimited paid annual leave and wellness leave.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with 100% match on the first 3% and 50% match on the next 2% of contributions.
  • Inclusive remuneration package composed of salary, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan.
Compensation

Salary range: CA$160 K.
