Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd seeks a Territory Manager - Transportation for the Barrie Brandt Peterbilt location. The TM will cultivate customer relationships and drive sales and rental revenue for New and Used Wholegoods within the defined AOR.

The role involves identifying opportunities across Brandt - Parts & Service and other brands we represent. You will travel within the territory, maintain a strong sales pipeline, and deliver consistent reports on activity and quotations.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience within heavy equipment or transportation industry preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Active prospecting and pipeline development demanded.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Create and grow new accounts within the defined area of responsibility.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Develop a robust sales pipeline for immediate and future opportunities.
  • Promote and sell New & Used Wholegoods and rental options.
  • Maintain product knowledge and represent Brandt at industry events.

Job description

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Territory Manager - Transportation for our Barrie Brandt Peterbilt location. The Territory Manager - Transportation role is vital in the creation, fostering, and growing of Customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR) with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue of New and Used Wholegoods.

A successful Territory Manager (TM) will have extensive knowledge of all potential users of new and used heavy-duty transportation truck and trailer equipment within their designated AOR, be aware and participate in the purchasing and rental activities of all Customers, and report back to the Company on activity/transaction details on a day to day basis.

The TM will also identify other business opportunities within the AOR that may be served by other areas of Brandt - Parts & Service, Sales of other products represented or manufactured by Brandt (ex: On Highway trucks & trailers, Agricultural equipment, etc).

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • New account creation and development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
  • Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
  • Promote & sell all types of New & Used Wholegoods assigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
  • Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
  • Deliver continuous Prospecting activity and development of new accounts.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
  • Actively participate in and promote Brandt during industry events as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
  • Submit lost sales reports on a timely basis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales and submitted on a weekly basis to the manager.
  • Other duties as assigned
What We Look For
  • Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of specialized transportation equipment and industry considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft office suite.Class 5 driver's license required; Class 1 would be considered an asset
  • Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required.
  • Being bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
