Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Calgary seeks a Territory Manager-Material Handling to grow Customer relationships and drive sales and rental revenue for New and Used Wholegoods. You will build a strong sales pipeline across the defined AOR and promote Brandt products at industry events.

The role requires strong relationship skills, target-driven performance, and willingness to travel. Knowledge of heavy equipment and proficiency with Microsoft Office are assets; bilingual English/French is a plus.

• Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
• Apply feature, advantage and benefit statements to drive sales.
• Deliver ongoing prospecting activity and new account development.
• Maintain current product knowledge and industry trends.
• Represent Brandt at industry events as required.
• Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and quotations.
• Submit lost sales reports weekly to management.

Brandt Tractor Ltd. is currently seeking a Territory Manager-Material Handling for our Calgary Construction and Forestry location.

The Territory Manager - Material Handling role is vital in the creation, fostering, and growing of Customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR) with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue of New and Used Wholegoods.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• New account creation and development. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
• Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
• Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
• Promote & sell all types of New & Used Wholegoods assigned to role.
• Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
• Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
• Deliver continuous Prospecting activity and development of new accounts.
• Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
• Actively participate in and promote Brandt during industry events as required.
• Maintain accurate records of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
• Submit lost sales reports on a timely basis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales and submitted on a weekly basis to the manager. These are a must to receive, as competitive pricing is required by John Deere.

What We Look For

• Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment considered an asset. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
• Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
• Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft office suite.
• Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required. B
• eing bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
