Territory Manager, Bovine Animal Health (Northern Alberta)

Position Overview

The Territory Manager in Animal Health utilizes Customer Experience Excellence skills, territory & account management, along with business planning capabilities to execute strategies that maximize performance within the assigned territory. This role involves working with customers, decision makers, and cross-functional partners to manage accounts/clinics, understand needs, build customer value, and maintain business relationships. The focus is on offering innovative solutions in biologics and specialty pharmaceuticals for companion animals, beef and dairy cattle, equine, swine, and avian.

This position is within the BOVINE Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Performance: Achieve annual net sales objectives for key products and portfolio through demand generation, tracking progress monthly, and managing promotional spending.
  2. Selling Skills: Engage customers using the CXE model, understand needs, build value, and leverage multi-channel marketing tools.
  3. Business & Technical Knowledge: Understand products, industry trends, and employ technical services to increase product and disease knowledge, sharing insights with stakeholders.
  4. Territory & Account Management: Manage time and territory effectively, develop customer/business plans, record insights in CRM, and identify business opportunities.
  5. Teamwork & Collaboration: Demonstrate company values, collaborate with team members, and participate in meetings and strategy sessions.
  6. Ethical Standards: Maintain high ethical standards and comply with industry and company policies.

Position Details

This is a field-based role requiring the employee to reside within the assigned territory and be close to customers. Travel is required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven successful performance in previous roles.
  • At least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in Animal Health.
  • Understanding of social media and business acumen.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Self-directed with a growth mindset and collaborative attitude.
  • Ability to travel and possess a valid driver’s license within the territory.
