Job description

Kane Veterinary Supplies is a Canadian wholesale distributor and manufacturer agent, providing excellence in distribution of the highest quality, cutting edge, value-laden products to the pet retail, veterinary, agricultural, and equine markets across Canada.

We have an immediate opening for a Territory Manager (Northern Alberta) to support and promote our marketing initiatives specific to the Production Animal division.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee an established dealer and veterinary sales territory within Northern Alberta.
  2. Develop and execute a sales coverage plan.
  3. Make regular sales calls and cold calls to Production Animal Veterinarians, Feed and Farm dealers, and Tack shops.
  4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with business partners within the Production Animal industry.
  5. Maintain timely and accurate records of all activities by providing expense reports and call reports.
  6. Work effectively and efficiently within a team environment to achieve regional sales targets.
  7. Have regular contact with an Inside Sales partner and keep Management informed of industry news and development.

Requirements:

  1. B.Sc. University Degree or Animal Health Technology Diploma
  2. Minimum 5 years Industry related experience is preferred
  3. Strong and effective communication and planning skills
  4. Extensive travel with overnight stays
  5. Excellent organizational skills
  6. Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office
  7. Self-motivated, result-oriented, and disciplined team player
