We are seeking a Terminal Manager responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations through strict management and communication processes. What you’ll do :
- Manage overall operations of the cross dock, dispatch, and warehouse communication processes, procedures, and personnel
- Achieve or surpass established cost and productivity targets
- Communicate with customers to retain and grow business
- Coordinate with Senior Management daily
- Maintain and execute daily operational plans ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
- Oversee scheduling, discipline, and performance management of operational staff
- Create and adjust schedules based on demand and performance
- Monitor workloads and allocate resources proactively
- Coordinate service schedules based on personnel and equipment locations
- Develop initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency in servicing clients
- Address employee questions and issues regarding operations
- Ensure operational timelines are met through proper breakdown and verification
- Maintain open communication with all personnel for fairness and clarity
- Maintain logs for quality checks and assessments
- Respond thoroughly and accurately to complaints
- Adhere to corporate and departmental policies
- Complete required training via Carriers Edge
- Perform additional duties as required
Must haves :
- Management experience leading a team preferred
- Experience in dispatch or call center environments is an asset
- Knowledge of the transportation industry (shipping, receiving, scheduling, freight negotiations, regulations) is an asset
- Clean Criminal Record
- Ability to deal tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally with people
- Ability to work well under pressure
