Job summary

Midland Transport in Moncton is seeking a Terminal Manager for its refrigerated distribution center. You will drive on-time delivery, safe and cost-efficient operations, and optimal equipment utilization.

You will lead a team, manage budgets, mentor staff, and partner with sales to onboard new customers while implementing the Irving Management System and continuous improvement culture.

Qualifications

• Trade certification or college diploma in logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, terminal operations, or a related field with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills with employees, customers, and senior management.
• Excellent organizational, planning and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven leadership, coaching, mentoring and performance management skills.
• Safety, service and operational excellence focus; knowledge of regulations.

Responsibilities

• Attainment of budgeted cost, safety, service, quality and utilization metrics for the transport and/or courier operations at the terminal.
• Achieve employee engagement at the Terminal; manage direct reports to meet budgeted performance.
• Implement the Irving Management System and foster a culture of continuous improvement at the Terminal.
• Contribute to business growth by collaborating with sales to onboard new customers.
• Develop and coach direct and indirect reports at the Terminal.

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Terminal Manager in Moncton Refrigerated DC. The Terminal Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of shipments by achieving on‑time performance, maintaining a safe and incident‑free operation, optimizing costs, and maximizing equipment utilization. This role also evaluates current transportation operations to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.

• Responsible for the attainment of; budgeted cost, safety, service, quality and utilization metrics for the transport and/or courier operations at the terminal.
