Qualifications

PhD in Earth Sciences or a closely related field by appointment
Strong record of research productivity with peer‑reviewed publications
Ability to attract external funding or clear potential to do so
Experience teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels
Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion

Responsibilities

Develop and sustain an internationally recognized, externally funded research program in geochronology with strong integration of mineralogy and petrology
Supervise and mentor graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Earth sciences
Help sustain and develop EOAS analytical facilities (PCIGR, EMXDF)
Engage in departmental, university, and professional service activities
Collaborate with EOAS faculty and external partners, including industry, government, and Indigenous communities
