Qualifications

Job description

The Tenancy Dispute Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the Operations Team by overseeing the management of Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service (RTDRS) filings and hearings.

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Managers, this position works closely with Property Management staff to coordinate, track, and support the resolution of tenancy dispute files. The Supervisor ensures that all dispute processes are handled efficiently and in compliance with relevant policies and timelines, contributing to effective case management and positive outcomes.

Your contributions to the team include:

  • Draft and organize all necessary documentation for Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service (RTDRS) filings in accordance with legal requirements and internal procedures
  • File claims against tenants through the RTDRS online portal, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable tenancy laws
  • Act as Broadstreet’s representative during RTDRS hearings, presenting cases professionally and effectively to support tenancy enforcement
  • Notify and update the Operations team on the outcomes and implications of RTDRS decisions, including enforcement instructions or required follow-ups
  • Submit RTDRS orders to the Court when necessary to ensure legal enforcement of tenancy rulings
  • Maintain professional and consistent communication with RTDRS staff regarding case filings, procedural questions, or hearing logistics on behalf of Broadstreet
  • Maintain accurate records of disputes, resolutions, and trends
  • Develop, implement, and refine dispute resolution procedures and strategies
  • Prepare periodic reports for senior management or regulatory bodies

What you need to be successful:

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in Property Management
  • Strong knowledge of RTDRS and the Residential Tenancy Act
  • Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and multi-task
  • Analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic and a positive team attitude
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and specialized software programs
