Qualifications

• Two-year post-secondary certificate or diploma in the social services field.
• Experience with diverse student exceptionalities including autism, developmental and physical disabilities.
• Knowledge of ABA, CPS and Augmentative Communication.
• Ability to work with students in transition and in consultation with teachers and therapists.
• Respect for Indigenous teachings and culture.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with autism and various exceptionalities in a special education setting.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, central behavioural support, and therapists to implement programs.
• Deliver therapy goals, sensory breaks, and daily living supports such as toileting and communication needs.
• Participate as a team member in school-based planning and outings.
