Job summary

Suncor Energy Inc. in Fort McMurray is seeking a Recruiter for a six-month assignment to support end-to-end recruiting. You will partner with hiring leaders and HR peers to meet hiring goals, craft engaging job ads, and guide candidates through the process.

The role requires 3+ years of in-house recruitment, a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, and strong ATS skills. A collaborative, high-performance culture awaits in our Fort McMurray office.

Qualifications

• Three years of in-house, full cycle recruitment experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline or equivalent years experience.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems.
• An excellent ability to assess talent and and provide guidance and coaching to help leaders fill vacant roles.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with hiring leaders, HR partners, and fellow recruiters to achieve hiring goals, share best practices, and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Build trust and rapport with hiring leaders while guiding them through the end-to-end recruitment process
• Craft engaging job ads to attract the right talent for the role
• Evaluate candidate qualifications in relation to the position requirements to determine a successful match
• Conduct behavioral-based interviews to assess candidate knowledge, skills, experience and aptitude against the corresponding vacancy
• Build accurate offer letters to support the clear articulation of our employee value proposition to prospective new hires
• Maintain a well-organized requisition portfolio, ensuring priorities, timelines, and candidate activity are managed efficiently.

Location and other Key Details:

• This is a temporary position for a period of 6 months
• This is an office based role and you will work out of our Fort McMurray Stoney Creek office
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
