Job summary

Rentco Equipment Ltd. in Grande Prairie is hiring a temporary, full-time Parts Technician at our Grande Prairie Head Office until February 2027. You will assist customers with parts inquiries and process purchases using POR, while maintaining stock levels and supporting service technicians.

We value accuracy, teamwork, and strong communication. Journeyman or 2nd-3rd year apprentice welcomed, with computer proficiency and physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Journeyman/Journeyperson Parts Technician (preferred), or 2nd-3rd Year Apprentice.
• Intermediate computer skills with proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite and Windows
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customers service in-person, over the phone, via e-mail, or through Kenect by assisting them with their parts inquiries
• Processing customer’s parts purchases using Point of Rental (POR) and in accordance with Rentco’s procedures
• Supplying service technicians with parts ordered through parts requisition forms
• Verifying received shipments by checking order against shipping documents
• Reporting stock levels to Service Manager or Branch Manager, following up on shortages and reporting shortages to Manager
• Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge through dealer specific training, such as, but not limited to Bobcat, Husqvarna, Stihl, Honda, etc.
• Keeping parts department stocked and orderly by maintaining min and max levels
• Acting as a Counter Sales Representative when required including working on the front counter on a Saturday rotation

We are hiring a temporary, full-time Parts Technician to work at our Grande Prairie Head Office until the end of February 2027.

As the Parts Technician, you are responsible for:
