Job summary

Legacy Co-operative Association Ltd. is seeking a Gas Bar Attendant for Theodore Agro Centre in a temporary part-time role. You will deliver friendly service, assist customers with liquor, agro, and petroleum products, and perform general store duties.

The position requires serving customers, handling cash, and stocking while keeping the area clean. Training and certification are provided where needed, with shifts including days, evenings, holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• 19+ with Serve it Right certification or ability to obtain it.
• Retail or guest service experience.
• Willing to work all shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders and kneel.
• Honest, trustworthy and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and upsell products.
• Petroleum duties at fuel pumps including dispensing fuel and washing windows.
• Stock shelves and merchandise within the Liquor Department.
• Process transactions at the Point-of-Sale system.
• Stock and face products within the store.
• Perform exterior and interior housekeeping and opening/closing procedures.

What you’ll do: You will be responsible for delivering legendary service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here” through:

• Customer Service – upsell and cross-promote products, offer guests assistance and recommendations with acquired knowledge of liquor, agro, and petroleum products.
• Petroleum duties – Provide full service at the fuel pumps including dispensing fuel, washing windows and checking oil
• Merchandising – Stock shelves and face products within the Liquor Department.
• Cashiering – processing transactions through the Point-of-Sale system
• Stocking – stock and face products within the store
• General duties - Exterior and interior housekeeping, opening and closing procedures

Who you are:

• Are 19 years of age or older and have Serve it Right certification or will obtain it.
• You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You have retail experience in the area of customer service
• You are willing to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays and weekends
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
• You are physically able to do heavy lifting of 50 lbs, climb ladders and kneel
