Job summary

TEEPEE CREEK SCHOOL in Alberta is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Junior Kindergarten Educational Assistant to support a certificated teacher in a JK classroom. The role is 12 hours per week, scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with responsibilities including assisting with instructional activities and student care.

The ideal candidate will hold a High School Diploma (Educational Assistant Diploma preferred), have experience with children, and be willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Educational Assistant Diploma is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid would be considered an asset.
• Experience working with children in a classroom/organized setting is preferred.
• Ability to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care.
• Ability to meet outside of school hours.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• A current Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check) dated within the last six months is a condition of employment.
