Job summary

Ridgevalley School, part of Peace Wapiti Public School Division, seeks a Temporary Full-Time Educational Assistant (30 hours/week) to support certificated teachers in a student-focused, collaborative environment.

Required: a High School Diploma (Educational Assistant Diploma preferred); CPR/First Aid an asset; ability to assist with personal care and physical tasks; ability to work as part of a team and meet outside of school hours.

Qualifications

RIDGEVALLEY SCHOOL is seeking candidates who enjoy working in a student-focused and collaborative environment. We invite applications for a Temporary Full-Time Educational Assistant (30 hours/week). The Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certificated teacher.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Educational Assistant Diploma is preferred
• CPR/First Aid would be considered an asset
• Experience working with children in a classroom/organized setting is preferred
• You have the ability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care.
• You have the ability to meet outside of school hours.
• You have the ability to work as part of a team.

A current Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Check), dated within the last six months, is a condition of employment.

Terms and conditions of employment are outlined in Policy GGG: Personnel Policy for Non-Teaching Staff. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $21.28/hour to $28.02/hour.
