Full-Time, Temporary (6 months)

The Human Resources Generalist – HR Management Support will work on department projects/priorities, seeking to promote and develop effective Human Resources practices and department procedures for the best interests of all employees within Karis Disability Services. Under the coaching and mentorship of HR Leaders and Human Resources Business Partners, the Human Resources Generalist – HR Management Support role will assist in uploading HR documents to employee files, editing HR letters, providing health and safety resources to districts, researching HR best practices and legislative requirements for the team, comparing policy and collective agreements, providing recommendations for improvements, creating/delivering presentations, pulling together data for reports, organizing HR resources and assisting the department with various projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Health & Safety Support: Providing resources and binders, participating in the Health and Safety Committee, and ensuring compliance with workplace learning policies.
  • HR Administrative Tasks: Uploading HR letters, organizing files, updating forms, managing schedules, taking meeting minutes, and maintaining trackers.
  • Policy & Process Management: Researching and revising policies, updating HR guides, ensuring alignment with legislative changes, and supporting HR Business Partners in specialized areas.
  • Data & Reporting: Creating reports, tracking performance indicators, and conducting research for HR-related issues.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Assisting in projects, delivering presentations, supporting the Director and HR Business Partners, and facilitating engagement with districts.

Education and Experience:

  • 1 year of previous experience in a Human Resources position
  • University or College Diploma in Human Resources
  • CHRP or in active pursuit of CHRP is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to organize time, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills required
