Job summary

Sinai Health in Toronto is seeking a Pharmacist to support our Pharmacy department in a temporary full-time role (up to 4 months). The Pharmacist will provide medication distribution, drug information and education to patients and staff within a traditional dispensing system, collaborating with the interprofessional team to determine the best treatment approach.

The successful candidate will hold a Pharmacy degree, be licensed by the Ontario College of Pharmacists, and have hospital experience;

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy.
• Part A License to practice with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Previous related experience in a hospital setting is required.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Previous experience with Meditech is an asset.
• Membership with the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP) is preferred.
• Demonstrated satisfactory job performance and attendance history required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication distribution, drug information and education services to patients and staff in a traditional dispensing system.
• Interacts with interprofessional team members and patients to determine the most appropriate and effective course of treatment.
• Implement interventions in accordance with standards of practice for the discipline.
