Junior High Physical Education/ Math /Science Teacher

Willow Creek Composite High School located in Claresholm, Alberta is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta!

We are seeking a temporary full-time teacher to teach Grade 7 Math, Grade 7 Science, Grade 8&9 PE and Junior High CTF. This position will begin on August 25, 2025, and end on November 28, 2025, with the possibility of an extension until June 26, 2026, or until the incumbent teacher returns.

We are seeking a teacher who:

• Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta Jr. High Physical Education curriculum;
• Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta Jr. High Math/Science and CTF curricula;
• A strong understanding of outcomes based assessment practices;
• Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team;
• A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring and welcoming learning environment;
• A strong belief in parent involvement and communication including regular communication with home beyond the use of report cards;
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills;
• In depth knowledge of and experience with current outcomes based assessment practices and ability to develop multiple assessments such as portfolios and projects, in addition to more traditional assessments;
• An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, emotional and/or curricular needs within the classroom setting;
• Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same;

Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
