Job summary

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students within the school’s planning framework. You will work with teachers and district leads to implement programs and materials.

You will observe and report on student progress to the supervising teacher. You may assist with feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene as needed, and you will participate in group and individual activities with students who have diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Assist students and meet with the school planning team in following programs, strategies and materials identified/developed and introduced by the teacher, specialized teams and District leads.
• Provide feedback to the supervisory Teacher on his/her observations of students.
• Assist with large group activities and work with small groups or individual students.
• Experience working with children with special needs in an organized setting is preferred.
