The School District No. 48 (Sea to Sky) invites applications for an Education Assistant at École Squamish Elementary. This temporary role runs immediately to December 18, 2026, or until the incumbent returns.
You will support students with various needs under the supervision of the principal and teachers, including before/after school supervision where required. Qualification: Grade 12, Capilano Education Assistant Program, BC Driver's License, First Aid, and basic computer skills.

Immediately to December 18, 2026, or return of Incumbent, whichever occurs first
5.5 hours per day, for all days school is in session for students (Education Assistant)
Rate of Pay: $33.69/hour (Education Assistant)
Under the direction of the Principal(s) and the general supervision of the Classroom Teacher(s), provides assistance to students who have physical disabilities, chronic health diagnoses, intellectual disabilities and/or social, emotional and behavioural needs as designated by the Director of Instruction, while supporting the achievement of stated programs goals and objectives. Supervision of a designated area either inside or outside the school, before, during and/or after school as defined by the terms of the assignment.
Completion of Grade 12 plus a special program and over six (6) months up to and including one (1) year's related experience. A special program would be the Capilano University Education Assistant Program. Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License. Knowledge of basic First Aid. Basic knowledge of related learning tools (ie. computers, etc).
