Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. is seeking a Temporary day cash collector to support the Labeling department on the production line. The role involves operating and maintaining the case-packing process, adjusting equipment, and ensuring packaging quality.

Start date is as soon as possible, with a Monday-Thursday schedule and morning shift. Ideal candidates will be able to read, write, count, and work well in a team, maintaining cadence under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and count with good visual ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining equipment cadence.
• Good physical condition with ability to lift up to 52 lbs (24 kg).

Responsibilities

• Make equipment adjustments and perform independent maintenance checks on the line, reporting anomalies to supervisor/mechanic.
• Install plastic packaging rolls and ensure correct quantities in each packaged case.
• Verify production codes and dates for each customer, remove unlabeled or damaged cans.
• Provide the correct packing boxes for products and assist the case packer as needed.

The job holder ensures the proper functioning of the case packer and notifies his immediate superior of any problems that may arise during production.

YOUR EVERYDAY SHEET

• Make equipment adjustments, conduct independent maintenance tours of the line and notify your supervisor and the mechanic in the event of anomalies or problems;
• Install the plastic packaging rolls:
• Ensure the correct quantities of canned goods in each packaged case and remove poorly packaged cases, check production codes and dates for each customer;
• Remove unlabeled and/or damaged cans;
• Make sure you have the right packing boxes depending on the product and provide the case packer.

YOUR PROFILE

• Know how to read, write and count and have good visual ability;
• Ability to communicate easily and excellent team worker;
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining equipment cadence;
• Good physical condition and ability to lift loads of 52 lbs (24 kg)
