Karis Disability Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Oakville, Ontario. This role works with individuals who have developmental disabilities, helping them with daily living and community integration while upholding their rights and supporting personal growth.

Applicants should have a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check, reliable transportation, and prefer 6 months of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check required.
• Access to reliable transportation; some travel may be required.
• 6 months relevant experience preferred.
• Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or related post-secondary education preferred.

Responsabilités

Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.

Requirements
