Job summary

The Renfrew County District School Board is seeking a Temporary School Support Counsellor for AJ Charbonneau Public School in Arnprior. The role is 100% of a full-time schedule (35 hours per week) and runs immediately through December 18, 2026, with potential for extension per the Collective Agreement.

The successful candidate will hold a two-year college diploma in social services and have experience in youth mental health within a school setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting child and youth mental health and well-being.
• Experience working within a school setting is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum two year community college diploma in the social services field (e.g. CYW, SSW, BSW, BST), or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the RCDSB.
• Experience supporting child and youth mental health and well-being.
• Experience working within a school setting is essential.

Hiring will follow the requirements outlined in the Collective Agreement for the School Support Counsellors and the RCDSB Administrative Procedures. Positions will be filled by members of the Board's School Support Counsellor bargaining unit BEFORE external applications are considered. The Board reserves the right not to fill a position.
