Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. in Fort Saskatchewan, AB is seeking a skilled Skid Steer Operator for a major industrial expansion project. You will operate skid steers safely, hoist formwork, and move materials on a high-traffic site while upholding strict safety standards.

Experience of 3+ years, valid skid steer certification, and knowledge of site safety practices are required. Day and night shifts with a 10 days on/4 days off rotation are offered, along with extended health benefits via CLAC.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Safe and efficient operation of skid steer to meet scheduled targets
• Hoisting formwork, loading, unloading and movement of various site materials in high traffic areas and confined areas
• Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
• Maintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
• Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
• Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
• Complete daily pre-use inspections and report any equipment deficiencies or maintenance requirements

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience operating skid steer
• Valid skid steer certification / ticket
• Understanding of industrial site safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or construction environment
• Valid issued government photo Identification
• Project-specific online orientations must be completed

Work Conditions:

• Both day and night shift available
• 10 days on, 4 days off rotational schedule

• Weekly payment of wages
• Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
• Candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton Region
