Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a skilled Skid Steer Operator to join a major expansion project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. You will safely operate the skid steer, hoist formwork, load and move materials, and contribute to meeting targets on a fast-paced site.

You will perform safety inspections, maintain equipment, and communicate with the team while upholding Ledcor's safety standards. The role offers day and night shifts on a 10-on/4-off rotation, with CLAC benefits and year-round weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience operating skid steer.
  • Valid skid steer certification / ticket.
  • Understanding of industrial site safety practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Valid government photo ID.
  • Project-specific online orientations must be completed.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate skid steer to meet targets.
  • Hoist formwork and move materials in high-traffic areas.
  • Perform pre-trip walk-around inspections and site safety checks.
  • Maintain equipment and log maintenance needs.
  • Communicate professionally with team members.
  • Lead safety and production, ensuring policy compliance.
  • Complete daily pre-use inspections and report deficiencies.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Safe and efficient operation of skid steer to meet scheduled targets
  • Hoisting formwork, loading, unloading and movement of various site materials in high traffic areas and confined areas
  • Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
  • Maintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures
  • Complete daily pre-use inspections and report any equipment deficiencies or maintenance requirements
Requirements
  • 3+ years experience operating skid steer
  • Valid skid steer certification / ticket
  • Understanding of industrial site safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial or construction environment
  • Valid issued government photo Identification
  • Project-specific online orientations must be completed
Work Conditions
  • Both day and night shift available 10 days on, 4 days off rotational schedule
  • Extended health benefits provided through CLAC
  • Weekly payment of wages
  • Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
  • Candidates must reside in the Greater Edmonton Region
