Role description:

Arcadis Technology Consulting Team focuses on providing solutions involving communications, security, and audio-visual systems to organizations that rely on enabling technology for their success.

Our Team is a group of specialists with extensive experience in technology projects, designing solutions that users love. We primarily serve sectors such as healthcare, corrections, and higher education, where technology is critical for delivering core services. These sectors require a high level of expertise in technology consulting and engineering, which is not typically found in traditional engineering communities.

We are seeking a talented Technology Systems Specialist to join our Global Technology Team in Edmonton. This position reports to the Technology Systems Architect.

Note: This position offers flexibility to work from home, as our projects are global and team members are located across North America and Europe.

Role accountabilities:

• Report to the Studio Lead & Technology Systems Architect
• Design and specify systems including Audio-Visual, Security (access control, CCTV/VMS, intrusion detection, panic systems), and Structured Cabling, with familiarity in Division 27 & 28 standards
• Lead project and design teams
• Draft design specifications in Division 27 & 28 formats and other divisions as needed
• Develop systems design and requirements through client consultation, review of building/site design, and industry best practices
• Create drawings and diagrams using Visio, Bluebeam, CAD/Revit
• Coordinate with Revit/CAD team for device placement plans
• Evaluate industry equipment for suitability in design solutions
• Develop system specifications and narratives in Master Format templates
• Liaise with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and other design teams
• Lead or attend design meetings with clients and teams
• Assist in developing project budgets
• Oversee construction administration, site reviews, and reporting
• Manage project tasks including scheduling, financials, and resource allocation
• Engage in business development and maintain client relations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
• Experience with remote task management software
• Familiarity with agile project methodologies
• Designations such as CSP, RCDD, CTS, CSP are assets
• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit for design and review
• Experience with Visio, Bluebeam, Adobe
• Comfort with remote communication tools like Teams, Webex, Zoom
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Energetic, diplomatic, flexible, problem-solving mindset
• Organizational and prioritization skills with initiative
• Experience in engineering, architectural, or construction industries is beneficial

The salary range is $78,000 - $117,000, based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
