EY in Toronto seeks a technology consulting professional to join the Transaction Strategy and Transformation team. You’ll help clients modernize legacy applications by embedding AI solutions and assess cyber risks, translating technical work into strategic outcomes.

With 1–5 years in tech consulting, you’ll work on AI-driven modernization, collaborate with client teams, and lead small delivery groups while communicating strategy to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years experience in technology consulting delivering strategy and custom application development (includes co-op/internship)
• Strong technical background in computer science and business

The opportunity

Join the Transaction Strategy and Transformation team at EY, where you’ll help clients modernize legacy applications by embedding AI solutions. This role focuses on leveraging AI to assess legacy applications for cyber risks and to identify specific vulnerabilities, supporting clients in their digital transformation journeys. You’ll work with diverse teams and cutting‑edge technology to deliver strategic value and innovation.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Support projects that integrate AI into application modernization initiatives
• Use AI tools to review legacy applications, identify cyber-attack risks, and recommend mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and translate technical solutions into strategic outcomes
• Participate in client-facing engagements, workshops, and presentations
• Deliver value realization and strategy work, ensuring clients achieve measurable benefits from modernization effort

Skills and attributes for success

• 1-5 years experience working in a technology consulting practice, delivering strategy and custom application development projects (this includes co-op and internship experience)
• Strong technical background in computer science and business
• Technology skills –
• GitHub, GitHub CoPilot, Visual Studio Code, MCP Server setup and use
• Application development in JavaScript and Java applications with Frontier LLMs (Sonnet, Opus, ChatGPT)
• Experience with AI‑driven application development and modernization
• Ability to analyze legacy systems for security vulnerabilities using AI
• Experience managing teams of 2-3 resources for project delivery.
• Strong communicator with experience presenting technology strategy to clients
• Strategic mindset with a focus on value delivery
• Eligible for federal government security clearance

Ideally, you’ll also

• Hold a degree in computer science, or a joint degree in computer science and business
• Have completed multiple internships in the technology sector, with hands‑on experience in application developmentDemonstrate experience working in client‑facing roles and supporting presentations
