Job summary

EY in Toronto is seeking a Senior Platform Architect to join the Technology Strategy & Transformation team supporting our banking clients. You will design and implement scalable architectures, modernize applications, and guide project delivery across cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years in technology architecture within financial services, strong cloud, AI, and DevOps experience, and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 2-5+ years of experience in technology architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on digital transformation in a financial services environment.
• Proven experience as a platform architect
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex technology projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Hands on background in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps, with direct experience supporting AI workloads in production.
• Proficiency in Python and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, with deep experience in containerisation and orchestration platforms, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS EKS and ECS, and Azure AKS.
• Working knowledge of major cloud AI ecosystems and open-source platforms.
• Working knowledge of agentic AI monitoring and observability suites.
• Hands on experience building and deploying AI agents using open frameworks such as LangGraph and CrewAI, as well as proprietary cloud based agentic platforms.
• Deep experience in API integration and development.
• Consulting or professional services experience is strongly preferred.

• Participate in architecture reviews, design workshops, technical discussions, and governance forums.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to developers and junior consultants throughout project delivery.
• Support business development activities including client presentations, solution demonstrations, proposal development, and client workshops.
• Contribute to thought leadership, methodology development, reusable assets, and innovation initiatives within the Technology Strategy & Transformation practice.
• Stay current on industry trends, banking technology platforms, cloud technologies, AI-enabled solutions, and digital modernization approaches.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.
