BMO Financial Group in Toronto is seeking a Software Application Developer to join the Loan Servicing Technology team, supporting Loan IQ and related lending platforms. Qualifications

• 4–7 years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience.

Summary

BMO’s B2B Banking & Credit Technology team is seeking a Software Application Developer to join the Loan Servicing Technology team supporting Loan IQ and related lending platforms. The role is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications that enable commercial lending and loan servicing operations.

The successful candidate will contribute to strategic technology initiatives including Loan IQ modernization, API and microservices development, workflow automation, cloud adoption, intelligent document processing, and AI-enabled solutions. This position combines strong software engineering capabilities with modern AI-assisted development practices to improve delivery efficiency, solution quality, and operational effectiveness.

• Experience with workflow automation, intelligent document processing, or AI-enabled business solutions.
• Python development experience.
• Exposure to LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI orchestration frameworks.

Salary** : **

$61,600.00 - $113,900.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
