Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Technologist Sr, Manufacturing Engineering to join our St-Laurent, QC site. You will support production challenges, lead technical investigations, and guide the integration of new parts, ensuring schedule-adherent action plans and strong collaboration across teams.

Ideal candidates will have a college diploma in aeronautics, 5 years in methods or related roles, proficiency in 3D reading, and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• College diploma in aeronautics or related field.
• Five years of experience as a methods agent or related role.
• Experience supporting production operations.
• Ability to read technical drawings; strong 3D visualization and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing and assembly techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership and customer-satisfaction focus.
• Team player, organized, autonomous, resourceful and perseverant.
• Excellent communication in French and English.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; SAP; Catia V5 is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support production challenges related to composite parts or metal bonding daily.
• React to situations causing production line shutdowns from various departments.
• Participate in problem investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Contribute to development and integration of new parts with technical leadership for projects.
• Review or create assembly notebooks; write and display action files; write change requests.
• Ensure accountability and an action plan that respects schedules; update visual management tables.
• Investigate problems related to methods and engineering documentation; initiate corrective measures.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Support the various production challenges and other services related to composite parts or metal bonding on a daily basis. You and your team will have to react to situations coming from various departments that could cause production line shutdowns.
• Participate in problem investigations and resolutions, as well as integrating opportunities for product improvement. You will be proactive in implementing corrective measures that will prevent future line shutdowns.
• Participate in the development and integration of new parts by providing technical expertise and leadership for the full duration of the project.
• Review and/or create assembly notebooks, write and display action files as needed. You will also have to write change requests when required.
• Ensure that there is a person in charge and an action plan that respects the schedule for all problems identified; update the visual management table.
• Investigate problems related to methods and engineering documentation and initiate appropriate corrective measures.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a college diploma in aeronautics or any other related or equivalent field.
• You have five (5) years of experience as a methods agent or other related experience
• You have relevant experience supporting production operations.
• You are comfortable reading technical drawings and have good 3D visualization and a good analytical mind
• You have a good knowledge of aircraft manufacturing and assembly techniques.
• You have leadership and you support the importance of customer satisfaction.
• You are a team player, organized, autonomous, resourceful, imaginative and you are perseverant.
• You enjoy working in a team and have excellent communication skills.
• You are competent with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SAP software and knowledge of Catia V5 is an asset.
• You speak and write in French and English.
