About the Position

Carrier Service Commercial is seeking Refrigeration Technicians to work with our service team located in Ville St-Laurent (Montreal) to support the light and heavy segments of the CVCR service market applied in commercial and industrial buildings.

In this unionized position, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of all types of commercial refrigeration units, light VRV or VRF units.

Responsibilities

• Excellent mechanical skills to ensure maintenance, troubleshooting, and startup of cooling systems and other HVAC equipment (roof units, cooling towers, air handling units, BAS systems, pumps, refrigeration equipment, etc.)
• Provide exceptional proactive maintenance and repair services.
• Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with clients.
• Support mechanical services on Carrier Factory field sites for startup and warranty work.
• Resolve equipment issues, develop, and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
• Adhere to and reinforce environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• Valid competency certificates - CCQ (Quebec Construction Commission).
• 4+ years of professional experience as a refrigeration mechanic.
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC system maintenance.
• 3+ years working on rooftop units: installation, maintenance, troubleshooting.
• 2+ years with cooling systems (Chillers).
• 1+ year with building control systems (e.g., DDC, automated logic, or similar).
• Valid driver's license.

• Resourcefulness, autonomy.
• Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective at building relationships with a strong customer service orientation.
