Our client is seeking a technicien(ne) en environnement to support various mandates in environmental characterization, monitoring, and work supervision. If you enjoy fieldwork, technical challenges, and collaborative environments, this position is for you.

Main Responsibilities

1. Field responsibility for conducting environmental boreholes and exploratory trenches;
2. Environmental sampling of soils, groundwater, biogas, and residual materials according to current guidelines;
3. Monitoring excavation work and managing contaminated soils;
4. Writing and completing site and technical reports for each visit;
5. Reporting technical questions to the project manager or coordinator;
6. Conducting permeability tests and other on-site measurements;
7. Coordinating and verifying inventory and proper functioning of equipment;
8. Adhering to current safety measures;

Skills and Requirements

1. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in environmental site characterization (Phases I-II-III) and/or environmental remediation;
2. Knowledge of soil identification;
3. Possession of ASP safety card;
4. Rigorous, organized, punctual, team-oriented;
5. Geotechnical experience is an asset;
6. Valid driver’s license.

Education

• DEC in environmental techniques or relevant training;
