Position Overview

Join a growing food import & distribution company as a Senior Bookkeeper overseeing full‑cycle accounting and supporting financial strategy.

What You’ll Do

• Manage full‑cycle accounting: journal entries, GL, month‑end/year‑end, AP/AR, reconciliations, and payroll (ADP TeamPay).
• Prepare financial statements, cash flow reports, and performance analysis to support decision‑making.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting with the president; monitor variances and optimize costs.
• Oversee inventory reconciliation, COGS accuracy, and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Handle multi‑currency (CAD/USD/EUR) transactions, FX reporting, and international payments.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and wire transfers.
• Ensure compliance with GST/QST, payroll, and audit requirements; maintain strong internal controls.
• Improve processes, support operations, and take initiative in a fast‑paced environment.

What You Bring

• Diploma/Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–8 years of progressive accounting experience (import/export experience an asset).
• Strong full‑cycle accounting, inventory, and cost analysis skills.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and bilingual communication skills.
