AXXEL RH has been tasked by their client to recruit an accounting technician responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth and efficient daily and monthly accounting operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Prepares journal entries for both day-to-day and month-end transactions.
2. Performs bank and account reconciliations.
3. Validates and processes monthly expense reports.
4. Submits government regulatory reports such as surveys to Statistics Canada.
5. Manages the full accounting cycle of smaller scale related companies.
6. Assists in preparing reports to evaluate the financial performance of the companies.
7. Supports the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of summary schedules and backup documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of work experience in the accounting field.
• Understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Experience working with ERP and automated accounting systems.
• Autonomous, methodical, and organized.
• Ability to work efficiently, multi-task, and meet internal deadlines.
