Mission Description

Safran Systèmes d'Atterrissage, a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, manufactures major components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, A350, and Boeing 787 models at its Mirabel plant. The plant features cutting-edge equipment for machining, polishing, heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure mastery of product-process coupling in line with SQCD objectives, handle non-conformities, and document them in systems.
  • Analyze technical problems using Lean Sigma tools (QRQC, 8D, CSP, DMAIC).
  • Serve as the production contact for product-process issues, liaising with program managers, engineering, quality, etc.
  • Update manufacturing ranges and related documentation for production and control.
  • Lead industrial range updates within the system (MEDS), support operational teams, coach operators, and assist internal and external suppliers.
  • Support quality audits (AS9100, Nadcap), risk analysis, and risk management.
  • Implement continuous improvement projects, develop and deploy production/control tools, and participate in new product-process development.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment to enhance productivity and robustness.
  • Standardize and share knowledge, update documentation, and train employees on new products and processes.
Requirements
  • DEC in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, industrial engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in methods or aerospace industry in a similar role.
  • Technical skills include knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, reading and tolerancing of plans, problem-solving tools, CAD software (Catia V5), MEDS 3D, PLM tools, and other specific skills as listed.
  • Behavioral skills include teamwork, analytical thinking, rigor, autonomy, communication, organization, and initiative-taking.
