Activo is looking to hire full-time Intermediate/Senior Cable Technicians with 2 – 4 years of proven experience installing, terminating, and testing a variety of copper and fibre optic cabling types.

- Willingness to work at various job sites, including new construction, retrofit construction, offices, large retail environments, restaurants, warehouses, and manufacturing sites
- Ability to travel and stay out of town, for short periods of time, within the province of Quebec
- Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel and other commonly used software programs)
The technician will be involved in the installation, termination, and testing of Cat 5E/6/6A copper systems and MM/SM fibre optic cabling systems. Work may also include installing racks/cabinets, rack-and-stack network hardware, access points, placing telephone sets, and other similar work.
This is a full-time, hourly-paid position at $24–$28 an hour. Company benefits are also included after three (3) months of employment.
The prerequisite for this position is two (2) years of prior field experience. The Intermediate Technician will focus on the following additional technical skills. The technician will be trained on the job site and will attend OEM-related courses focused on learning the following technical requirements of this position.

- Rack and Cabinet Installations
- Rack and Cabinet Bonding
- Cable Tray Installations
- Cable Testing and Diagnostics
- Must maintain a positive and professional relationship with the customer representative at all times
- Ensure all company-owned tools, test or termination equipment provided are kept in good working order
- Adherence to all company HR policies, procedures, and health and safety practices
- Complete all work in a safe manner to the highest quality standards, while adhering to the technical design of the work provided by the customer
- Ensure 100% customer satisfaction, objectives are maintained in all aspects of the responsibilities in this role

- Ability to safely operate a 26’ platform height manlift
