Job summary

Solotech Inc. is seeking an on-site audiovisual installations technician in Quebec.

You will install, configure and power up audio, video, lighting, control and related equipment for live productions, ensuring safety and quality at every step. You will work closely with the Lead Technician, coordinate on-site craftsmen, and represent Solotech with clients while continuously updating product knowledge and maintaining equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation of audiovisual systems.
• Have a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Flexible and adaptable to different situations.
• Autonomous, rigorous, disciplined and works well in a team.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Comfortable with Windows environment.
• Knowledge of audio, lighting, video, control or videoconference equipment.
• Able to obtain security accreditation for governmental projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and switch on audiovisual equipment on customer sites.
• Stay informed about new technologies and products.
• Collaborate with the Lead Technician and represent Solotech with clients.
• Coordinate craftsmen on building sites and maintain site safety.
• Keep truck inventory up to date and ensure sufficient material.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and rigging details.
• Participate in training sessions on new technologies and products.

Your day will look like this:

• Installation, configuration and switching on audio, video, control and electric equipment sold by Solotech
• Remain up to date and get information on technological and audiovisual products
• Work closely with the Lead Technician
• Represent Solotech with clients
• Coordinate the various craftsmen on the building site
• Keep the truck’s inventory updated and with sufficient quantities (material and cabling)
• Ensure that the work is performed according health and safety requirements and existing laws
• Maintain the tools and the trucks in good condition
• Read and ensure follow up of technical drawings (schemes, simple drawings, rigging details, etc.)
• Participate in training sessions regarding new technologies and products.

Your profile:

• Experience in installation of audiovisual systems;
• Possess a vehicle and a valid driver’s license;
• Flexible and able to adapt to different situations;
• Autonomous, rigorous, disciplined and efficient in team work;
• Capacity to analyze and resolve different problems;
• Comfortable with a computer and the Windows environment;
• Knowledge of audio systems, lighting, video, control and/or videoconference equipment;
• Able to obtain the security accreditation to work on governmental projects.
