Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and plating micro analyses and report non-conformances.
• Manage ATP and equipment swabs with sanitation team coordination.
• Manage and change product status for Holds and Releases.
• Review and file external COAs and maintain schedules.
• Calibrate lab equipment to maintain compliance.
• Assist in investigations of complaints and formulation responses.

This role is essential to support the production and logistics departments with process improvement projects and acting as a resource when needed. * Sampling and plating micro, evaluating retain samples and communicating non-conformances to the necessary people/departments* Manage ATP and clean equipment swabs, working closely with the sanitation team to address potential deficiencies* Manage and change product status for Holds and Releases* Review and file external COAs* Monitor and adhere to finished product and ingredient micro sampling schedule* Monitor all micro test results daily to ensure compliance* Assist in the investigation of complaints and formulation of responses from team* Calibrate lab equipment to maintain compliance* Assist in reassessment of procedures **What we are looking for to deliver these results:** * Post-secondary education in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Lab Technician* Dairy experience will be considered an asset* Must be able to work well within a fast-paced production environment and possess the ability to detect trends and react to make immediate corrections.* Must be an independent worker, capable of following direction and applying learned knowledge to different applications* Strong proficiency with computer skills and capabilities* Good attendance* Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral English **A role for those who want to create real impact and contribute to measurable and sustainable results.**
