Job summary

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. is seeking a wind turbine technician at the Montagne Sèche site in Quebec. The role focuses on ensuring turbine operation, identifying faults, and coordinating preventive maintenance with the O&M team.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, climb turbines, and adhere to strict HSE standards. AEC in wind turbine maintenance or electromechanics training is valued, with SCADA/PLC familiarity as assets.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• AEC in wind turbine maintenance.
• Training in electromechanics or electricity will be considered and preferred.
• Expertise related to wind turbine operations or maintenance.
• Good computer skills: SCADA systems and PLCs are assets.
• Safety-first attitude and ability to work outdoors in harsh weather.
• Ability to climb an 80-meter wind turbine within a reasonable time frame.
• On-call availability and a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day!

• Ensure the proper functioning of wind turbines and identify any anomalies that may arise.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times.

Your skills, our requirements!

• Training in electromechanics or electricity will be considered and preferred.
• Expertise related to wind turbine operations or maintenance.
• Any other experience deemed relevant to the position will be taken into account.
• Good computer skills: relevant experience with SCADA systems and PLCs is an asset.
• Strong sense of responsibility, commitment to a job well done, and a safety-first attitude at all times.
• Resourcefulness and strong ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to perform manual or supervisory work outdoors despite harsh weather conditions.
• Ability to climb an 80-meter vertical ladder without assistance and perform work at height. The candidate must demonstrate their ability to climb a wind turbine within a reasonable time frame during the recruitment process.
• Availability to work overtime and be on call when required.
• Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
