Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking a dedicated veterinary technician to join our on-site team in Charlottetown, PEI. The role focuses on collecting samples, performing lab tests, and assisting veterinarians across surgical procedures, dental work, and post-operative care for small animals.

Candidate must have completion of College/CEGEP and be registered as a Veterinary Technician. On-site work environment with comprehensive health and long-term benefits provided.

• Registration by a provincial or territorial, or regional association as Registered Animal Health Technologist, Registered Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
• Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
• Produce diagnostic radiographs
• Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery
• Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian
• Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian
• Counsel clients on animal health care
• Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry
• Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
• Provide wound and bandage care
