Job summary

TransX Ltd in Mississauga, Canada, is seeking a Trailer Technician with 2–3 years of Level 2 experience to join a clean, professional shop. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the fleet, diagnosing issues found during inspections and prescribing remedies.

As a permanent, full-time role on days, you will work with the Service Writer and other technicians, with opportunities for career advancement, paid training, shift premiums, referral bonuses, EFAP, and RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience as a Level 2 trailer technician.
• Experience with PMs, wheel re-torques, inspections, repairs.
• Knowledge of ABS systems and wheel-end repairs.

Summary:

The Trailer Technicians will work in conjunction with the Service Writer and the other Technicians to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the TransX fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years’ experience as a Level 2 trailer technician
• Knowledge of common occupational skills
• Conducts PMs, wheel re-torques, general maintenance and inspections, minor structural repairs, panel and scuffliner repairs, has experience in torch and welding capabilities, performs brake work, tire work and wheel-end repairs to suspension and related parts, has some knowledge of structural repairs, and can diagnose ABS system and can perform wheel seal replacement.
